Description

Leaving Big Whitney Meadow behind, the trail starts climbing moderately for about 1.5 miles to a saddle west of the meadow. The terrain around you is covered in pine trees. From the saddle, you switchback twice, then reach the junction with Rocky Basin Lakes Trail. Ahead to your left is a larger meadow framed by pine trees.

The trail continues south to Golden Trout Creek Trail.
