Starting from the parking lot, the trail hugs the South Bog Stream with a couple informational signs along the way. You'll reach a sign in the middle of the trail with a plastic trail marker on your left when it is time to turn for the river crossing. Be careful if the water is high. After the river crossing you continue up the trail to a junction where you can continue on the South Bog Conservation Trail or continue strait back to South Shore Dr. There is a brief area of wetlands on the west side of the stream on the run back to the road, as well as a couple more informational signs.
