Description
Starting at the parking lot, this trail follows the red arrows on the trail marker posts. It is a part of Paddock River Preserve, a former golf course that is now a city-managed nature preserve. The trail starts with a winding downhill path before reaching a small bridge over the Aurora Branch of the Chagrin River.
After this initial hill, the trail is straightforward, relatively flat, and clearly labeled. Along the path, there are various trees and plant species with opportunities to observe wildlife (e.g., multiple bird species). The trail reaches a loop that circles back so that the trail can be followed back to the parking lot. This loop features a small grassy spur trail at its southernmost point that hugs the river with nice views.
