Lubber Run Park's amphitheater hosts many free events in the spring and summer.

Description

Lubber Run Park has a surprisingly challenging and extensive trail loop for such a small park and connects to the residential Arlington Forest neighborhood via three trailheads.

The best place to start a run is at the North Edison Street trailhead near Route 50. From this trailhead, a singletrack descent with a few rocks, bridges and footballs treat you to a view of the stream valley, before intersecting the park's paved and gravel through trail at the first bridge over Lubber Run.

Continue across the bridge and pick up the singletrack on the east side of the creek, and continue upstream, to the final intersection with the main park trail. Turn left here to loop back towards the initial singletrack descent, passing the fire ring, park pavilions, and amphitheater. Climbing back up to the Edison Street trailhead offers a great workout.
