Need to Know

Technically, you can drive to the start of this trail at the Upper Dry Creek trailhead but you should only attempt the drive in a high clearance 4x4. You are better off parking at the Lower Dry Creek trailhead and either running up the road, which will likely be faster than driving up, or running Eightmile Trail #132 to the upper trailhead. You may hit snow early season (June-ish) on the upper sections.

Description

This trail was substantially rebuilt and rerouted over the last few years and is now a class run. Lower sections of the trail are in pine forest, steep in places but a good trail tread overall. The upper sections are mostly above treeline, very rocky in spots but manageable.
