Stop by the Visitor Center or read the signage that gives a history and standard warnings for this short run. The path leads you through some areas that have not been disturbed, as well as areas that have been worked on to arrest decay of the vertical structures. The rock and clay mortar mission (Quarai Mission Pueblo) is the most impressive of the three missions in the area. Run through the maze of ruins to the side of the largest structure and you'll get a sense of ancient history of this area.
