Nestled in the county's largest park, this trail traverse several types of habitats in the Piedmont region. The Sopers Branch Trail starts at the southern end at the day use parking area where you can a picnic and barbecue after your run.

This multi-use trail heads north through the woods, winding toward and then back away from Frederick road, eventually ending at Prescott Road. The trail is mostly a gentle downhill in this direction, but just remember if you are doing this as an out-and-back you'll have a gentle uphill on the way back.

The trail is open to runners, bikers, and equestrians. Be courteous to other trail users.
