Description

If you're bored with how easy Upper Lower and Lower Loop is, then run this newer singletrack that offers up a bit more interesting terrain.

Start by running out Lower Loop from town then getting on Upper Lower Loop. Approximately 1/4 mile up Upper Loop when entering the woods, you'll see a singletrack climbing through the trees on your left. This is the start of Budd Trail. As of the writing of this description the singletrack is unsigned, but it appears that a signpost may be put in very soon.

Once on Budd Trail, the initial switchbacks can be rather stiff, but don't worry the climb is short. The trail eventually descends back down and connects back to Lower Loop just past the peanut mine.

This trail has tons of rocky sections. One of my favorite trails close to town, great for an evening run.

Covered in snow, and mostly not tracked out. Horrible for running right now unless you’re wearing snowshoes.
