Description

The start of this trail is not very well marked. It can be accessed off Pole Creek Rd and is right next to a major water crossing on Pole Creek Rd. If you end up at the three cabins trailhead, then you have gone too far. If you are trying to find the end of this trail, it is not marked well either and you should look just before Grand Prize trail starts descending out of the meadow at the pass.

This is a great run with a mellow start as it climbs along the creek. As the trees start to thin out, it enters the alpine zone and not only gets steeper, it also gets rockier. After reaching the highest point, the trail descends steeply to the Grand Prize trail.

This trail can be used as an alternative for the Big Bowery Loop to avoid some road.
