Modoc Trail is best known for its multiple creek and ditch crossings and is a bit rougher around the edges then other trails in the CSRA. The trail is fairly level and has little elevation gain or loss. The trail is generally well groomed and smooth but there are some more rugged sections and features built for mountain bikers. There are several bridges throughout the trail, and some are very slick when wet.
