Runner Notes

An easy, short run to a family-oriented and swimmable lake. The section of the trail to the Pacific Crest Trail is very steep and rocky.

Description

The Taylor Lake Trail is an easy 0.5-mile run to Taylor Lake, making Taylor Lake the most accessible lake in Russian Wilderness. The trail continues around the northeast side of the lake and offers a steep alternative route to reach the Pacific Crest Trail, which is especially useful as a work-around when the snowbank on the PCT northwest of Smith Lake has not yet melted and runners need to get to the other side of the PCT.
