Description

This trail starts at the campground, but most will access the route from the parking lot and trailhead of Grout Pond. It takes a winding path around the border of the water and connects with a few other trails at the southern tip of the pond after passing through a beaver dam. The intersection makes it easy for runners to create various loops, in a distance you prefer.

The relatively flat trail also offers access to several water-side camping areas that can only be reach by this trail or by boat. You'll see lots of flora and fauna in this Grout Pond Recreation Area within Green Mountain National Forest. Parts of this trail have crushed limestone, but parts are also very muddy.
