There are also some USFS restrictions on areas for a monument survey. Trees will be marked with red dye/paint.

Flora & Fauna

Always look out for Poison Oak, Poison Ivy, Poison Sumac.
***Also take note of the three common venomous snake species native to the area. Timber Rattlesnake (Crotalus horridus), Copperhead (Agkistrodon contortrix), Cottonmouth (Agkistrodon piscivorus). Google Search for a picture to identify them if you are not native to the southeast.
