Runner Notes

When wet the soils can be sticky. It'll be a hot sumemr run.....but that is to be expected in the desert. Footing is quite good for the vast majority of the run. Mostly singletrack, with some wider (nearly doubltrack) areas. Many opportunities for breaks on outcroppings overhanging the side canyon.

Description

If running the trail as shown, this is a gradual downhill route that takes you in and out along a side canyon in the Devils Canyon area. Expect to run on slickrock and sandy soils. The views are great into the canyon. This trail can be connected in various ways to other great trails in the area to make a loop of whatever length the runner desires.

Flora & Fauna

Standard desert fare, with plentiful Utah Junipers and spring wildflowers. Evenings will bring out the coyote and rabbits. You'll see/hear lots of songbirds and ravens....and maybe even golden eagles. I've seen bighorn scat, but never the bighorn.
