Canyon Sin Nombre 760 Slot Canyon

This isn't a Utah slot canyon, being formed out of mud rather than smooth sandstone, but it's pretty cool anyhow and the best you are going to do in the Anza-Borrego desert. There is no sign for it along Canyon Sin Nombre Rd. Jerry Schad says it starts at the 760 ft contour and I have named it accordingly. The slot canyon is often narrow and up to 150 ft deep, making it hard to spot from above. Your best bet is take a GPS or keep the Trail Run Project mobile app with you. Although you can certainly do an out-and-back from Canyon Sin Nombre Rd, I suggest starting at the top if you are willing to do your own route finding and have a GPS. Both routes are rewarding however, and offer a great adventure.
