Keeping with the construction style of the newer trails in the area, this one offers runners a true singletrack route. Also being more of a technical challenge than the original trails crisscrossing the valley floor, it is often shared with mountain bikers.

Spotting deer and even coyotes hiding among the saguaros is not uncommon while running along the contours of the hillside in and out of the small canyons and over ridges.
