Runner Notes
The trail has very steep and rocky areas in some sections; however, there are some long straight stretches.
Description
White Ledge
Loop Trail is a four-mile loop through the Albany Town Forest that brings you to a wide open rocky clearing at the peak with views of North Conway. The trail can be fairly challenging depending on which direction of the loop you decide to take, with some small areas reaching grades of up to 40%.
There is a second entrance/exit along Rt 16 that can be accessed, however, parking is extremely limited. The Rt 16 connector links up to the main loop about 1/2 mile in. The primary trailhead is located inside White Ledge Campground. There is a parking area for day users and there is no fee for parking.
Flora & Fauna
Dense forest throughout most of the trail, with an open rocky clearing at the peak.
