Runner Notes

This is the course for the Lake Fork Flyathlon, an event that pairs trail running, fly fishing, and craft beer. The race is an out-and-back along this road, for a total distance of approximately 10 miles.

Description

From the Lake Fork Cutoff Road, head north on this dirt road (County Road 64) through Gateview Canyon. The road parallels the creek for approximately 5 miles, with several established restrooms along the road. You'll see plenty of fly fishermen back here and will need to watch out for cars, but it is a great place to combine running and fly fishing!

Flora & Fauna

Brown trout and rainbow trout thrive in every pool!
