Runner Notes

The terrain on this trail is rough and makes for difficult running.

Description

Deep Creek Ravine is an area of the Dishman Hills popular not only with runners, but also with rock climbers. The trail starts at Camp Caro and takes a round-about path to Goldback Springs. While there aren't any views to speak of, the natural rock features are beautiful and the accessibility of the area make this a great destination.

Flora & Fauna

Despite a high desert climate, this trail maintains a green, lush feel during most of the spring and summer. This is a prime spot for local mosses and lichens.
