Description

The Stratheden Path is a kid friendly hike through the forest, with one end of the trail beginning along the One Way section of the Park Loop Road, just below the Kebo Mountain Trail. The elavation does not change much but the trail is a good short hike where you might see deer, rabbit, porcupine or woodpeckers. The trail passes along the base of Kebo Mountain before continuing on to the Hemlock Road and Sieur de Monts, passing by the Homans Trailhead and the Jesup Path boardwalk as it does so. Like other trails within Acadia National Park this trail is dog friendly as long as your dog is on a leash. In Autumn when the leaves are changing color is a great time to hike along this trail as the forest comes alive with bright colors.
