Runner Notes

A good out-and-back route.

Description

This is a popular trail with the dog-walking crowd. The trail starts at the St. John's parking lot and follows the well-established trail uphill to the arroyo. Follow the sandy and rocky arroyo upstream for about 2.75 miles to a sort of meadow where the trail starts to descend. Follow the trail another 1/4 to 1/2 mile to the gate at the road. This is a good spot to turn around and head back.
