Description

Use this primitive doubletrack dirt (and at times very rocky) road to connect Taylor Pass to Star Pass. The road can be used in either direction. It's often used with Trail 400 (Star Pass) to connect Crested Butte to Aspen via Express Creek Road (& Castle Creek Rd.) or Richmond Ridge Road.

The trail is open to motorized vehicles, however. If you're venturing back here, be sure to have a map in addition to the Trail Run Project mobile app because there are additional motorized routes that are not currently shown on the site, and you could take a wrong turn if you're not paying attention.
