Description

From Dose Meadows, head north at the trail junction towards Lost Pass. This first section is steep, with few switchbacks, and is mostly under tree cover. After a little less than a mile, you'll be at the top of Lost Pass. Take a moment to enjoy the views from here. They are spectacular.

From here, continue on the trail along the mountain side, where you'll find gorgeous wildflowers throughout. At approximately 1.5 miles from Dose Meadows, you'll pass a seasonal spring that is next to one of the most secluded and beautiful campsites in the area. The next mile, to the top of Cameron Pass, is a little more relaxing than your climb to Lost Pass. Just after two and a half miles from the start, you'll be at the top of Cameron Pass.

From here, enjoy the view into Cameron Valley. The trail from Cameron Pass is one of the most aesthetically pleasing trails to look at. The trail has some extraordinary curves as it meanders down into the Cameron Valley.

After you descend into Cameron Valley, you'll pass multiple campsites, Upper Cameron, these are some of the best campsites in the area. The trail is now a fairly relaxing decline until you reach the junction with Grand Pass Trail.
