Junction to Gore Lake heads north here (about 4-4.25 miles in). Cross the creek here to continue on Gore Creek Trail. It's confusing, since there's also a trail that heads straight, but that's just to backpacking campsites and not the real trail.

Incredible views and wildflowers around mile 6.5-7, as you're heading out of treeline!! Big climb but well worth it!

Avalance debris, fallen trees around 5 miles. This is from the eastern side looking west—a work-around has been stomped out to the left as you're heading west, to the right as you're heading east (goes along the south side of the debris).
