Need to Know
Access starts with a 1/4 drive on gravel to a parking area. Go right at the "snowplow turnaround" sign.
NOTE: this is near Malone, NY. There are multiple Owl's Head trails in the region.
Description
The trail starts along a pond (limited view of) and then turns into a rocky moderate ascent. No stairs or ropes - not steep enough to require any.
At 1.1 miles in the trail turns steeply left but a cave exists 20 yards straightforward.
Peak offers east-southeast views of the valley, lake, and distant mountains.
