In Summit and not looking to hammer vert? Explore this double-loop course instead. First loop will take you up to the Minnie Mine trail through mostly aspen forest. Your second loop will take you on the fairly-flat Turk's Trail and B&B Trail. This second loop would also be a great easy hike with kids!

Start at the B&B mine trailhead, cross back over the road and head up the trail. This first loop has most of the climb of this route so enjoy the tour through the aspens and keep your eyes peeled for the old (mostly collapsed) old mine facilities. Take the right fork to the X10U8 trail, then a left on Minnie Mine and follow that back to the start. Cross back over French Gulch road and then follow the B&B Trail until it intersects with the Turk's Trail. You can take either B&B Trail or Turck's as they will loop around, but this route goes right on Turk's Trail and follow that through pine forest to B&B Trail. This second loop is much flatter and should get you close to 5 miles total.
