Description
Tripp's Knob
Spur is found at a trail junction with
Upper Tripp's Loop and
Lower Outer Limits. Head north on the wide forest road-style trail that goes uphill to get to the top of Tripp's Knob. The trail climbs the west side of Tripp's Knob. The forested slopes of the Knob rise to the right/east. To the left/west, across a wide valley below, looms Mount Spokane.
The trail soon loops to the east, revealing distant mountain views to the north and east. Spirit Lake can also be seen in the distance. The trail then ends on the top of Tripp's Knob where there is a small warming hut that is used by skiers.
During the winter, as part of the Mount Spokane State Park's Nordic Skiing Trail System, this trail is groomed for classic and skate skiing.
