Description

This is a simple, easy-to-follow trail in Palmetto State Park. It can be started from either end. The eastern end is at a junction with the San Marcos River Trail, and the west end at a point on the Palmetto Interpretive Trail. The trail is named for the Honey Mesquite which grow in profusion along the route.

Flora & Fauna

Honey Mesquite, Post Oak, Cedar Elm, Turk's Cap, Anacua, Dwarf Palmetto, and Texas Prickly Pear.
