The part of this trail that follows Stone Place Road, is open to Mountain Biking.

Description

This section of the Catamount Trail starts on South Road and travels northward, following the western edge of Peru Town Forest. It crosses over Rockbottom Road and turns right. It travels to a small sidetrail, that will take you out to Mud Pond. The trail continues out to Landgrove Hollow Road, where it turns left.

The trail crosses over Route 11 and turns right. Turn left onto Ridge Road and look for the Catamount blaze, in a short distance. Here, the trail travels over an old road until it reaches Anderson Road. It follows Anderson Road, then turns left (off Anderson Road). It crosses over Hapgood Pond Road, then follows the extension of Stone Place Road.

Just after a footbridge, the trail turns right onto Jones Brook Trail. It follows this until it comes out to the cow pasture. It crosses over Little Michigan Road and travels through another field until it turns left (into the woods). The trail follows a small access road until it comes out to Danby - Mount Tabor Road (Forest Road 10).
