Highway 66 west of Elbow Falls and the Powderface Creek Trail is closed to vehicles annually between December 1 and May 14. A Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required to park your vehicle in Kananaskis and the Bow Valley.

Description

This trail can be accessed from either the Powderface Creek Trailhead or Township Road 214A (Powderface Road/Trail - only May 15 - Nov 30). It follows a pretty steady grade along Powderface creek and works upward to an access point to Powderface Ridge Trail, if desired. Be prepared for mucky trail conditions in the warmer months toward the beginning of the trail, particularly if it has recently rained.
