Description

This short alternate to Dragon's Back Trail leads you past Hole in the Wall, a large tunnel in a natural lava rock formation that is popular for skiers in the winter. The trail continues to ascend on the lava rock leading you to an amazing vista point from where you can see seven lakes, among them Horseshoe Lake, McLeod Lake, Lake Mamie, Lake Mary, Lake George, and Twin Lakes. The trail crosses the "dragon's spine" and then bends northwest through the more forested northern slope before rejoining Dragon's Back Trail.
