Description

This is a long exposed uphill trail. If you like the infamous Mission Peak Trail Trail in neighboring Fremont you'll probably like this one as well. You start heading upward right out of the parking and continue going up 1650' over the next 2.25 miles with the views getting better and better the higher you go. To the east you can see Livermore / Pleasanton / San Ramon, to the North you can see Mt Diablo, and to the West you can see the southern half of San Francisco Bay.

Once you near the peak (easily identifiable by a whole bunch of radio towers) the trail flattens out a bit and becomes easier.

If you keep going past the radio towers, the ridge trail eventually connects to the Roberston Ranch Trail and Grasssland Trail, setting up some options for loops.
