Need to Know
We saw several horses on the trail so be a polite trail user!
Runner Notes
Footing generally good. Some rocky/rooty sections but trail was in great condition.
Description
Trail along Moose Creek. We only went in about 3.6 miles, but the trail continues farther.
First two miles climb gradually next to the creek before crossing on an established bridge. After the bridge crossing Moose Creek, the trail continues to climb a bit more as it follows a contour line. Around three miles in, the views open up and you get to some ponds / impoundments that look like prime moose habitat. The trail continues farther along.
The first two miles are more shady than the next mile plus, but we never felt sun baked.
Flora & Fauna
Lots of wildflowers. Forested area near a creek, so keep an eye out for bear, moose, deer, etc.
