Ascending to the Mountain Pass:

The trail starts with a gradual ascent through lush forests and mountainous terrain. As you climb higher, the views become more expansive and rewarding.
Passing through Ancient Cedar Trees:

One of the highlights of this section is the opportunity to encounter ancient cedar trees. These towering giants have been standing for centuries, adding a sense of awe and wonder to your journey.
Trekking through Remote Areas:

The path will take you through remote and less-traveled areas of the Kii Mountains. This provides a sense of seclusion and tranquility, immersing you in the beauty of nature.

Reaching the Mountain Pass:
After a challenging climb, you'll reach the mountain pass, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. This is a perfect spot to take a break, rest, and capture some photos.

Descending to Miura-toge Pass:
From the mountain pass, the trail descends towards Miura-toge Pass. The descent can be steep at times, so exercise caution and use trekking poles if needed.

Encountering Oji Shrines:
Along the way, you may come across several Oji shrines. These are smaller subsidiary shrines associated with larger, more significant temples and shrines. Take some time to appreciate the historical and spiritual significance of these sites.

Passing through Mountain Villages:
The trail leads you through quaint mountain villages with traditional Japanese houses and friendly locals. This cultural immersion adds depth to your trekking experience.

Approaching Miuraguchi:
As you approach Miuraguchi, you'll notice a change in the landscape, as the mountains gradually give way to more open areas. The trail becomes less steep, providing some relief after the previous challenging sections.
