The Socorro SingleTrack is primarily used by mountain bikers and trail runners, but is also enjoyed for casual hikes and dog walks. It is a well-traveled desert singletrack that can also serve for backcountry hiking access to Strawberry Peak.

There is limited trailhead parking. Alternative parking is available at the security gate south on East road. Rattlesnakes are common in the area and are active in the spring through fall, especially at sunset.

Makes for a great trail running spot!

The Socorro SingleTrack Trail Network is best accessed from the trailhead on East Road. The trail includes a series of loops and this recommended route incorporates the most well developed loops and trail segments. The entire route is singletrack with a well-worn tread.

The trail generally rises in elevation to the north west, providing views of the Socorro valley and the Quebradas to the east. Strawberry Peak and the Polvadera mountains are also highly visible from the upper mesa at the end of the loop.

The trail is through high desert terrain, turning into grasslands at the northwest route terminus, Cacti frequently bloom in the late spring (typically May) and Ocotillo after the first monsoons in early summer.
