Description

This lower loop starts off the main loop and descends and old woods road to the lower pine forest. It follows the lower edge of the ridge around the edge of the property, then arcs around to the trailhead (off NY 22). The trail loops around and follows the woods road back to the main loop.

Flora & Fauna

Flora: Juncos, Nuthatches, Snow fleas (Springtails), Deer (scat).
Fauna: Eastern Hemlock, White Pine, Raspberry, Partridgeberry, Moss, Musclewood, Ironwood, Scaly Pelt Lichen, Wintergreen, Chinquapin Oak.
Ferns: Christmas Fern.
Fungi: Witches'-Butter, Puffballs,
