Military Road Trail (Lower Loop)

This trail is only open to hiking. The bridge is out and poorly signed.

This portion of Military Road Trail starts from the boat launch and heads eastward. It passes by the upper loop (on the right) and continues straight, then arcs right. It travels through an open area, then re-enters the woods. The trail winds its way up to a broken bridge, where you'll have to take a small alternate trail to reach the other side. The trail continues its ascent until it turns out into the eroded canyon.

To complete the loop, turn right, here, onto upper loop.
