Parking and restrooms are on the east side of Hwy 204 in the Andies Prairie Sno-Park.

The Wagon Wheel Trail was added to the Horseshoe Prairie Nordic Ski Area trail system in 2022. It connects the Wandering Wolf Trail with the Prairie Loop Trail. The trail is marked by blue diamonds and trail junction poles. The trail is groomed from Marker F to Marker I on the north then onto to the site of the Warming Hut. In 2025 the trail was expanded adding 3.3 miles of ski trail looping south then back north to ultimately connect with Wagon Wheel Trail. This added section is not groomed.
