Runner Notes

There are some steeper pitches with loose gravel that can make footing slippery within a 1/2 mile of the summit.

Description

The trailhead is about 1/3 of a mile off B9009 in Keith, Scotland. Parking is free along the side of the road. The trail progresses for the first 2/3 of the trail along a wide doubletrack dirt trail. Once the final pitch up to the top of Ben Rennis begins, the trail narrows down to singletrack and winds through gentle switchbacks until you get to the summit.

Flora & Fauna

The fauna consists primarily of heather and scrub brush for the vasty majority of the trail. There are some trees for the first few yards near the road side in the valley at the trail start.
