Runner Notes
The trail is easy to run. Mostly flat. The only section where footing needs to be watched is in the short grassy section, as it is patchy and uneven in spots.
Description
The Hoosick River Greenway Path is a 2.5 mile (5.0 miles round trip) multi-use gravel, grass and dirt path that follows the Hoosick River. The gravel path starts out at the ballpark in the forest and transitions to a wide grass path section along the river. Then there is a brief section on a side street until you cross the mail street at the bridge over Hoosick Falls where there is a second parking area. The trail continues in the forest along the river as gravel and dirt with side trail options. It passes a beautiful creek feeding into the river and then ends at Sewer Plant Rd.
Flora & Fauna
The trail has wonderful wildflower sections in the spring/summer and in the fall there are tunnels of beautiful color changing trees.
