Starting at the parking lot, the trail starts opposite the roadway and leads uphill to long winding rock outcropping. There are small rock shelves to pass under, and some muddy sections of trail. Near the east edge of the bluff line is a unique rock spire with a "table" on top. The trail extends past the spire a short ways, but does not connect through and you must return to loop to continue out to the roadway and back to the parking area.
