Overview

Beautiful singletrack trail with views of Lake Norman. The 30K runners will pass an aid station twice and the 50K runners will pass an aid station five times along the course.

Plenty of food and drinks will be provided at the finish line. Whether this is your first trail race, or your looking to set a PR, you'll love this course!

Description

This race changes directions every year.

30K Runners: You'll start in the field behind the Visitors Center, then proceed and enter Laurel Loop Trail, cross over Wildlife Road to enter Wildlife Loop, Fox Loop, and Fallstown Loop, then complete the remainder of Wildlife Loop . Once these loops are complete, you'll cross back over Wildlife Road to complete the remaining section of Laurel Loop before returning back to the start/finish line behind the Visitors Center.

50K Runners: You'll start and race with the 30K runners along the same route, then you'll continue on Laurel Loop. Cross over State Park Road and continue on to Hawk Loop, Hicks Creek Loop, Norwood Creek Loop, Monbo Loop, and return back to finish Hawk Loop and Laurel Loop to reach the finish line in the field behind the Visitors Center. All loops will be completed in counter clockwise direction, opposite way of bike traffic.
