The gate on Pine Mountain Road is often closed, so you'll have to add a little extra mileage of road-walking. In 2021, the Forest Service was conducting maintenance on this road; maintenance will resume summer of 2022.

Need to Know

Boots have little to no traction (on the rock surfaces) when the air is heavy with moisture.

Description

This is a short trail that climbs from Pine Mountain Road up the steep, ledge side of Pine Mountain. Pine Mountain Trail continues from the summit of Pine Mountain.
