Campground-Beach Access Trail

This trail is not on park maps but there are signs located at the trailheads. The northern trailhead is in a grassy area off Mounds Beach Road. The southern trailhead is to the left of the camp store.
As of October 2021, the trail is fairly overgrown in sections.

A couple sections have lots of rocks and roots.

The trail begins off Mounds Beach Road and immediately crosses Templeton Creek. During times of high water this area may be impassible. The trail then cuts to the left and heads straight up the hill. The section at the creek crossing is poorly marked. There is some flooding debris that makes this part a little tricky.

After climbing the hill, the trail turns right and stays mostly flat the rest of the way. Eventually the trail turns left into a small clearing which is right behind the camp store. There are no blazes on this trail.
