Description

This trail is near the end of Archer Mountain Trail and is frequently used as the culmination of that trail given the lack of views from the summit of Archer Mountain itself. It is marked with a lovely new carved wooden sign on a tree. The trail is fairly easy to follow initially through the forest although a few ferns are trying to overgrow it. Once you enter the burn area it's a different story: the new brush growing the past few years has made maintenance extremely difficult and the trail is now very over grown. The mix of spiky raspberry and thistles along with toxic giant hogweed makes bushwhacking all the more difficult. However, the views from the trail are excellent. The final stretch to Arrow Point involves a bit of a downclimb along a narrow ridge with steep drop offs so caution is advised (the views just prior to this part are sufficiently good too).

Note, an old trail once lead to the summit from near Arrow Point. Although overgrown, simply following the ridgeline should get you there without too issues. This creates a small loop option.
