The trail is open but in the early stages of development. It follows roads and unpaved trails. It can be muddy.

Description

The trail begins in Hurley adjacent to route 209 at the Esopus Creek. There is connection to the Kingston Greenline - O&W Rail Trail Connection which continues to Kingston.

The O&W trail continues south on mostly crushed gravel footing for approximately twelve miles south through Stone Ridge and High Falls. The trail continues just across Kyserike Road for about a mile before it joins Lucas Turnpike. There is a gap in trail development from this point to the southern section, the O&W Rail Trail - Ellenville to Accord.
