From it's northern terminus at Snoose Creek Trail #407 the trail begins to climb steeply up it's namesake ridge, this stretch of trail features spectacular views of Hungary Ridge, as well as the canyons of Johns Creek and the South Fork Clearwater River.
The trail levels off at about 4,400 feet and winds through an open forest that gradually grows more dense as you slowly climb in elevation. The trail's southern terminus is at an unsigned junction with Frank Brown Trail #401.
