This is black bear, grizzly bear, and mountain lion territiory- always carry bear spray!

Description

Follow this relatively steady uphill route along the course of Skiumah Creek about 1.9 miles to the small Skiumah Lake which sits directly below the towering Mt. Penrose. There are a few good views of Glacier National Park to the east along the ridge climb in the first ~1 mile on the trail. A great option for an out-and-back hike or run!
