There are a lot of debris on the trail/road on the ridge.

Description

You park near the locked gate and run up the dirt road. It eventually becomes a trail at the ridge the turns back into a logging road. It is maintained by the Shaver Lake Volunteers and is posted on their map with more detail. Unfortunately, the area is currently being cleared of dead trees and is a mess. We lost the trail at the picnic table but found it by heading west.
