Description

This trail begins on the north end, spurring off of an ATV trail. Accessing the trailhead requires either an ATV or a short run from Forest Service Road 538. At first, the trail is a wide track, for ATV use. The trail passes through a small camping area and crosses a small stream. After that, the trail narrows to a singletrack. Throughout the creek bottoms, there are several beaver ponds. The trail then goes up a secondary drainage and climbs a steep grade until reaching the Winecup-Monument Road (FS road 893). From there you can either turn around, or continue deeper into the southern portion of the South Hills.
